From A to B

Performance Walk | 2013-

Like a romantic partner, it can be all too easy to stop listening to your city.

From A to B is a performance walk for your city. Wearing headphones, a small group of audience members are led on an immersive journey around their urban environment, crossing paths with past and present and imagining future relationships with their city. Travelling across city spaces, the performance investigates the formative influence the architecture and layout of a city have on the people passing through it, and explores the relationships we all have with our cities. The work invites participants to explore their city afresh, providing an intimate and individual experience that recontextualises city spaces for both residents and visitors alike.

History

From A to B was originally conceived for the city of Lund, Sweden, and premiered at the city’s Kulturnatten in 2013, in cooperation with Lunds konsthall. The work was performed again in Lund, at Sommarlund 2014, and new versions were made and performed for the cities of Malmö, at Malmöfestivalen in 2014, and Helsingborg, at Passage Festival in 2015.

From A to B is supported by FilmCentrum Syd and Framtidens Lund.
