imagined scenario for a corridor2012

one-to-one performance

"In the (re)living of perpetual encounters we meet here, as strangers, for the first time."

A one-to-one performance in a dark corridor fractured by outside sounds, a voice from the darkness and flickering torchlight that reveal faltering images of imagined scenarios. imagined scenario for a corridor explores what it is to be situated in the specifics of a corridor space, a transitional, liminal location between other, ‘proper’, spaces, facilitating various journeys, both real and imagined. Using darkness and torch light, distance and proximity, and varying modes of delivery, the corridor space and the performer’s identity are manipulated to encourage a sense of intimacy between performer and participant, both fictional and real.
